Iirc they first wanted to play Huberdeau with Barkov but it looks like they changed their minds. Maybe they tried it in pre season and it didn't work.

they havent played together. huberdeau will be 1st line LW and i don't think they want barkov as 1C, i think its that simple



he didn't make the team last year either, he was a call up playing out of his mind and forced us to keep him up. he needs to develop offense and thats not possible with horrible linemates and 7-8 min a game on the 4th line

huberdeau-barkov-flash isn't a bad line, just need grit with barkov i think, someone have to be able to protect him, i guess someone on every d-combination can do that though

barkov looked huge at the draft why does he needs somebody to protect him? he seems like a pretty big boy thats tough enough to hang on his own
