signed richards n carter to extensions then traded them lol that loses a lot of trust .... its kinda like on be a gm mode u sign palyers n trade them you cant sign players
that is basicly whats happening here instead of drawing in star players like before

i think problem with philly is that they lack the defense and goaltending stability, when they had pronger they were contenders

old pronger was still one of the best in the game at controlling the pace lol

u say d and goaltending yet we made it to the finals with a team built pretty much all offense and our 3rd d pairing sobad we went through the playoffs playing 4 dmen and everytime 3rd pairing went outthey scored
not to mention we had boosh/leighton as the goalies

helathy our D is fine aand our goaltending is better with mason what we need is offensive depth ... we have 2 undoubted top 6 players on the flyers rest are a bunch of " whats he going to do this year"
read.. if he can continue his pace to last year pre injury we could have 3 to p6 hel lmaybe even if we consider simmonds as a top 6 ... we used to have 9 top 6 now we have less then 6 top 6
we have potential wingers n stuff but what we need is a 2C or even a top 6 winger n throw a winger in the middle + we got young guys that can fill the 3rd pairing and a half decent top 4... but we got 6 guys under contract and we dont need 2 of them
everybody is D D D u need D no we need O and to ship out some D that we have

y, but u made it to the finals with a healthy pronger. pronger would probably have won the conn smythe that year if they won, or atleast a very close 2nd or 3rd

when pronger left flyers collapsed

i guess you know more about flyers than me, but these are my observations

no doubt pronger was huge but to have him our d also lacked on the 3rd pairing
i feel we have more depth then before but we dont have that star like pronger... but our D is still good when healthy
i mean shit last season we finished out the season playing 1 100% roster player in schen... our D got decimated by injuries and te offense wasnt scoring
they basicly all got surgery and should be good to go now but the offense hasnt changed much from last year besides adding some raffl guy
flyers were 19th in scoring usually they are top 5 even top 3 ... they lack offense more then D

ya, idk, if they can trade one of their promising 2 way centers for a young proven d-man i think that'd be a great start, maybe couple up pick+laughton/couts and trade for letang with an extension in mind? not sure they want centers rather than wingers though, lol
