So much wrong with renting. It's literally throwing money away. If you need to live farther away to own a home, do it. Renting for more than three-four years is a financial mistake.

I agree with that. Just saying right now, in Alberta (Calgary), where everything is significantly overpriced and oil prices are taking its toll on the economy, the next 6 months - 1 year or so is not the right time to buy here, and renting makes more sense. More generally I agree of course.
