you could but then you gotta plug that into your tv or watch on ur pc/ phone this u plug into ur tv and turn it on to use when u want turn it off when u dont
do u have netflix or anything? using this box is pretty much netflix on steroids without paying the monthly/yearly fee specially in canada netflix is crap i believe
its useless without internet but so is netflix lol unlimited data isnt a must but without id id say definatley watch your cap if you use it a lot



i just use it to watch what i want when i want i dont watch tv to flick through channels or watch the same movie playlist over and over

I just use Plex + Chromecast mostly. Plex is a media server that allows me to watch anything on my PC on my phone/tablet. I then just cast the movie/show/music to the Chromecast and watch it on the tv.

I also just got my hands on a Roku 3, which has Plex built into it. So again it just allows me to watch anything I have on my PC on my TV.

For both it doesn't matter if you're on the same network or not.
