Raise interest rates aggressively to counter rampant inflation/pay down debt government debt at the expense of causing a lot of folks to default on mortgage payments and other obligations.
Or raise rates too little and inflation continues to spiral out of control
Either way there is going to be continued pain.
But god forbid we raise taxes on the rich
