If this is the type of return we get for Spezza I'll be really disapointed. But Spezza is better + doesn't have a full NMC like Kesler.

Plus Spezza is the most injury prone player in the league. Even more than Kesler.

Spezza said he was willing to discuss about a contract extension before the deal take place though, so the " 1 year of Spezza " argument is kinda flawed.

It's true that he's an injury prone player though, it's probably why we won't get what we would normally get for a player of his caliber.

This may be out there, but #canucks did ask Garrison to waive NTC last week and he agreed as long as he approves the destination.

"willing" =/= guarantee. especially if the kane/toews 12 mil a year is true. that'll make him want more

murray also said they wouldnt be allowed to discuss an extension before the trade is made
