Teams picking in the top 3 aren't gonna be ready right away anyway, taking 3+ years is np. He's the best Russian prospect since Ovechkin. Broke records with ease, broke kucherovs record too. Any teams that draft him will be adding a huge talent into their pool, so it may actually be a blessing in disguise for the teams picking 3rd-5th if he drops that far due to the war and lack of scouting compared to their backyard in NCAA and CHL. This kid severely outplayed bedard, MacTavish, fantilli etc. All his peers in the wj21 as a 15yr old.
I can see a lot of old school GMs shying away from Russians though, didn't stop the wild for drafting Kaprizov and waiting for his contract to finish. He didn't even have as much promising spotlight when he was a prospect in his draft year, yet he's dominating the league and really changed the wild
Fantili has the size already, he's putting up similar numbers to eichel and is also a center.
Carlsson also has the size, top Swede kid putting himself on the map with the likes of Forsberg, sedins, Petey in the shl. He's performing much better than Marco Kasper who a lot of scouts were salivating over.
