Florida has Kulikov, Gudbranson, Petrovic, and Olsen. Pair them with a couple veterans, and they'll have a solid top 6 for years to come

none of them screams top pairing, the only one thats top pairing potential really is matheson

last few cup winners - the one thing all got in common is a #1 d

It takes time. They're all 22-23. Like I said, if they can get a couple veterans to show them the ropes, they will have a solid back end in a few years time. If they can get a top winger and a top 5 pick, they should do it in my eyes

gagner is not the difference between bennett and ekblad, especially since gagner would be 3c in a year or two


and no, none in florida outside matheson have real top pairing potential, no matter how much rope they get shoved down their throat from well hung vets

Really should have put a rule in the CBA that says you can only have a certain number of NTCs, like 2 or 3. Seems like every 2nd player has some sort of NTC these days, it's retarded. Teams can't do anything about it 'cause players won't sign without the clause, like Callahan in NYR.

At the very least NTCs should be voided if a player is going to demand a trade. Teams get handcuffed way too often.

Why are you so stuck on having to have a 1D? Yeah, the past however many teams have had one, but that's just because for years upon years that's how you built a team - with one, pre-set, top guy. That's where teams go first now so if they don't have one they probably suck everywhere else too. Turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I'd rather have three 1b's than a 1a and scrubs.
