Except it doesn't do much for leverage since his qo is 9.3m and he can just choose to sign that for the year and walk to UFA to get paid elsewhere.
Locking up your young stars for 8yrs is the way to go, but gm in this league apparently can't manage cap and are forced to sign bridges to bite them in the ass later. Probably thinking they won't be around and it's the next guys problem lol
