Sounds good to me, get some of those kids some time. Glendening ha sbeen good, and i like him as a bottom 6er, but abby and ddk have been on my shit list for a little bit now.

This is true. Exposure to nhl tier play for the young players is good. Get the jitters out of the way, so they can focus on their play and roll in the team. Abby and ddk have been with us for a while, from what I recall. I will have to check out their stats, but from your last comment, I assume they have not been performing well.

They've been with us for a while yeah, ddk is average but gets paid to be a top 2. Abby is the same way, he was totally average, then had one good year playing datsyuks screen, deflected alot of pucks into the net, signed a big contract, datsyuk left and he went back to being average, actually worse than average now. I hate his contract, he is a bottom line player, and is paid as a second liner. Its frustrating. Both guys bring very little to the team except for veteran experience. Which is great, IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE KIDS IN THE LINEUP. Veteran presence means nothing if theres nobody to teach. Somebody forgot to tell that to kenny a few years ago and he just kept rolling with it. Stevie waiving Ericsson was a step in the right direction. Maybe he can find a trade partner for these guys, of course to get any sort of return we will have to retain salary.

I mean I agree w the points but people think Holland was blind to it all - not true.
Prior to last season, develano and Holland both said in a recent interview that they knew exact where this team was headed three years prior to it happening. The reality is that they still had to manage it the way they did. Having said that, Holland said he made mistakes that he would definitely take back. But the fact of the matter was that they didn't feel there were many appropriate moves that could have been made to avoid it. I think they felt it would have been patch-work / Band-Aids that would have made the team slightly more competitive but further extended the problems later.

That's my take on Holland's interview at least.

Yeah im aware, i just am still angry with him and i tend to blame him more than i should. And i definitely dont think he was blind, he knew what he was doing, i just didnt agree with it.

So apparently, we traded the hawks one of our Dman Alex Regula for forward Brendan Perlini. What is your guys take on the move?

Yeah, i mean i dont mind it. I kinda went over it in discord, that i wouldve liked to see how he panned out, but dx pointed out that it lights a fire under the asses of some of our underperforming forwards. So i dont really mind the trade.

Regula is a michigan kid, played for Honeybaked and Compuware before moving on to Cranbrook Prep and then the OHL, his dad was/is the team dentist for the wings, and hes spend quite a bit of time around the organization. I can understand he might be a little frustrated at getting traded from the team given all this, but imo he was drafted a little too high to begin with.
