Their multi displacement system is same used in the benz.
Where 4 cylinders turn off when driving under normal conditions.
The fords ecoboost is just a gimmick though.
chevy has had cylinder deactivation since 2005
we have an ecoboost motor in our transit van here at work, were not worried about the milage. that thing scoots, its a great little motor. does really well for having a big old brick around it loaded down with a shit load of boxes
