The games that maximize graphics and computing technology tend to only be like 8 hours of gameplay. The extra $1000 to upgrade to state-of-the-art would be so much better utilized buying 200 $5 games.

Yeah, that's my point - that's the smarter way to do it. My PC can't run certain games on max settings, but frankly to be able to run that game on max settings would cost more than it's worth. A lot of people insist that their PC be able to run XXX game on ultra high quality with max FOV and anti-aliasing, etc.

If you need all that to enjoy a game it's probably not a very well made game.
