Jonathan Ericsson placed on wavers. Feels?

All 12 seasons of his nhl career was played for the Wings. I guess we do need faster players these days.

It was going to happen. Ericsson played a week after getting his appendix out, he earned his respect but everyone has an end date. There are too many mobile 2-way defensemen coming up the ranks and this is a good season to test them.

Very valid point, along the lines of what I was thinking also. We need to keep focused on the rebuild, even if it involves placing him on wavers. The game is very fast paced now, need all players to be able to keep up.

yep, never really liked him, he had a few solid years, and it was tolerable when we were winning. But the last few years we've sucked its infuriated me we kept him around instead of have a younger prospect in the lineup.

Probably because no one else wants him and you still eat 3/4 of his salary as cap hit when he’s in the ahl

Holland made some questionable decisions toward the end of his career with the wings, possibly to sabotage the competition who knows.
Rumored he may be out if oils don't make playoffs this year
