Well all 30 teams say the goal is the playoffs, they don't have to mean it.

Either way, anybody involved with the Canucks knows they have to get younger. They'd rather keep Kesler, but if he wants out, it's the perfect time to start the transition. We're trying to do what Detroit is doing.
