Only played first season of PD2 so I'm not sure what it's like now.

But I really liked how the increased drop rate + occasional shard drop made MFing a little more rewarding than the base game. You know that if you spent like an hour straight MFing, you'd probably a decent rune or at least a few shards to give yourself a chance at a GG item. MFing in actual D2 always felt hopeless to me.

I thought they did a good job of creating a pseudo expansion. It was definitely different but still "felt" like Diablo to me.

D2 only had a functional economy because of dupes lol.

yeah as somebody whos had auto mfers that shits total rng one night u get crazy loot next fuck all with the exact same set up
ive had times where im running like 50 mf and find so much shit then i equip the upgrades get like 200 mf and find nothing for days


its hard to feel rewarded with such a system when you get the shit end of the rng

it made it way easier to navigate in the economy, but there is/was 100% a economy with out it.

yeah people will always be willing to trade something they fin for another class for something they have thats where it kind of starts
then its what they are willing to offer if they dont have anything else like a rune or soj or something

IMO runes and/or SOJ's work fine as the main currency barring mass duping/botting. Hopefully that kind of stuff is curbed in the remaster.

my main concern is beng able to import to single player i feel like thats going to somehow be exposed for duping
and the bots... they havnt been able to stop them on d2 after all these years and original d2 is running below the 3d layer and you can swap to old graphics at any time


whats to stop them from updating the bot so it launches differently and just running it in old graphics mode like normal

i really hope the new battlenet can prevent bots but seeing how many are in wow its not promising lol maybe VV the dev team is going to step it up though they arent the wow team
