I'm pretty sure most cats would kill their owners if they were big enough lol. Also are you sure about their size as fully grown? Because I have a regular cat (maine coon) and it's like 15lbs...
It sounds like it's a pretty demanding animal to have as your first pet, sounds like you'd have to move, and that it will take a lot of attention/training, plus the price :o . It's your money so do whatever, I'm not trying to dissuade you, just want to be aware of everything + the cat does look pretty cool.
Yeah, they look big but they're light I guess.
And yeah it's extreme when it comes to the amount of care and work that would be involved. It's pretty much like having a toddler, and they don't really mellow out as they grow up like kids or more normal pets.
If I do it I know I'll be prepared for the commitment, just figuring out right now if it's actually plausible for me 'cause I will have to move for it lol.
I'm really into animal behavior/biology. If I'm not watching sports on TV I'm watching Animal Planet / Nat Geo / Discovery / etc.
Unfortunately I discovered my love for this kind of stuff in my early 20's; had I known earlier I would have gone to school for it. Looking to volunteer at a zoo soon.
e/ big cats are my favorite
