I never really played an MMO, but I've tried out New World and I feel like it's going to be ridiculously addicting. (never got into WoW, all other MMO's seemed like cheap knockoffs)

Anyone here going to try it? Official release is end of August. Closed beta that will be wiped right now. It's very fun how you battle for land and it's pvp is fun so far

Is it something that you need 45 billions of key bind of you can play with 1 to 5 keybing like diablo?

I really hate mmo because of this lol

It's really easy, you only set 3 abilities! I think it's even possible to play with a controller lol

Also there is 5 attributes like d2, so when you level you put in your stats (strength, dex, int, focus, constitution), so you can make build and specialize in your build/weapon

Combat its with your mouse, just left click for attack, hold right for use shield, etc

I like it because there is open world PvP, dueling, there is War to control territory/towns of the map, and there is 20v20 game mode. I am still noob tho I just play beta for 4-5 hours

Re; gambling discussion in other thread

Love poker. Don't particularly like gambling, but poker is great. Usually just home games, but I've done ok in the casino cash tables too, but don't enjoy the types of folks you have to play at those sorts of tables.

I've played at a few sketchy home game tables over the years though, one was an illegal basement 'casino' in BC where you'd have to keep your eyes open because scrubs would try to mark the cards or shuffle off the bottom. And there was one regular who would get staked by investors to play high roller games in Vancouver, until one day that guy showed up to the table missing fingers, lol. Got a nice hattrick there once, won the tourney 3 weeks in a row. Played at a basement bar game in Calgary 2 years ago with a couple tables and naked ladies dealing cards, was an experience, finished 4th of 25 I think, so close.

Sounds like a good time, so long as you are not the guy missing fingers.

Poker is fun but I never play for big money. Just $40 games with friends. Winner walks out with a few hundred bucks. Makes for an entertaining night.

Could never throw down big money on poker. Lately my friend who is lousy at poker has been winning some of the games. Lot of luck involved. When you chase cards like a fool and win despite terrible odds it pisses me off because stupidity should not be rewarded.

The one cool thing about Casino's is they have a bad beat jackpot. Would be pretty awesome to ripped off on a grand scale only to walk out with even more money than you would have due to a terrible beat.

Yeah I don't do high stakes at all. If I'm at a casino I'll buy in for the max at a $1-2 table, but only really play with like a $100 of it. Otherwise everyone immediately sees your tiny stack and start to lean on you right away, which isn't fun lol.

So I am trying to eat healthier snacks and it is quite peculiar to me.

Ate a large bowl of strawberries and blueberries and it feels like I have no eaten anything at all lol.

Not going to be easy to swap out chocolate bars and chips for healthier snacks but I will give it a go for a couple weeks and if I see some results I will stick with it.

Being off work for the week is a good time to start a bit of a health challenge.
