Its not deliberated lol manufacturers do send their specs to the tires company and the cheapest win but i think the real reason is the car itself is poorly built
Best example is hyundai/kia/genesis those cars rip through tires like butter for whatever reason
Summer tires expectancy is around 30-40km. Michelin's Pilot 4 warranty is 30km. Considering I've used the summer tires all year long, instead of just the summer, it lasted far longer than it should, despite running only 35k on it.
My wife's kia forte all season tires lasted far longer, albeit she also has winter tires just for the winter season, which she only uses it for about 1-2months depending on the weather here. She recently got hers replaced, and she's had the car about 6+ yrs now, and it's around 170km if i remember correctly
Anyways, i got my issue solved lol. I told my Genesis concierge that I replaced the tires cuz i was basically forced to since it was at 2/6 legal limit. Told them im not satisfied with the experience, how short my tires lasted and considering my lease is up soon. He said I should've just called him and they would've taken care of it right away since it's their car.
Valet picked my car up, dropped off GV80 for me to drive for the day, gave me the new tires for me to go get it refunded. 10/10 service imo.
GV80 was nice, it was extremely quiet. I thought it was a hybrid/electric at first haha
