It's a freemium model on all platforms. It's nice though, you can get platinum (the paid currency that unlocks crazy new stuff) through the online trading market. When I played at least, it didn't necessarily take all that long to get $5 or $10 worth of platinum for various gun and armor parts.

So in two days and some change, we've almost mastered sit (she responds to the hand signal but only responds to the word when in the apartment), she's pulling on her leash significantly less, she no longer fears her crate, and today she was willing to approach the other dogs in the dog park.
She also knows to sleep in her bed instead of mine, and which toy is "her dog" - she'll play with it when I tell her to or bring it to me when I ask.

Not bad for only like an hour and a half devoted to training so far total.
