Depends on how serious the thing is. If it's something simple like wisdom teeth or minor surgury there's no point.

I don't remember them putting something in my penis when they operated me for my wrist.

its just ablation so the surgery itself will take like 20 mins, not sure if that counts as serious or not but whatever
hopefully i dont need a catheter up my dickhole

If it's 20 minutes there's no way you should need it. For surgeries that take a few hours yeah but whoever told you that lol.
