if you're really concerned with finances just find a roommate. in the suburbs it's pretty easy to split a house or a townhome for a lot less than what a 1-bed costs.
From an affordability stand point Im not too concerned.
Basically I have 3 options.
1. Continue to live at home paying minimal rent, getting free food, and zero car payments other than gas and a portion of insurance.
My monthly expenses are easily like 600 or less.
Best financial option is here but zero relationship building because tbh I’m not going to have sex with a girl when my entire family can hear me.
2. Rent somewhere for the next 1-3 years to build up independence and relationships, buy a car, and still have plenty left over to live and enjoy myself.
3. Buy someone here, probably be house poor, and I’m kinda stuck here for atleast 5 years. Still get the same perks as above but with significantly more stress and commitment.
I am itching to live someone else and continue to travel so I don’t know if buying is the best option.
