For someone that has battled alcoholism and is bi-polar you can see where he is coming from to an extent.
I can understand the strain covid has put on peoples mental health which in turn can lead to addiction. Due to his personal experience I think that is why he is so outspoken against the rules.
With that being said I agree. He has misunderstood what the rules are and has been going off of assumptions. There is no "competitive edge" because all teams have to follow the same protocol.
That is where any credibility he had goes out the window.

yeah imo thats just what it is misunderstanding and assumptions based on those misunderstandings cause if the nhl lied i feel like more players would be coming out about it
and idk what the nhl did or didnt say but if hes making stuff up yeah he already lost credibility just listening to him he goes back and forth then just rambles on about nhl choosing competitive edge over human lives it makes no sense
I just listened to the clip and I think Drago has sort of misrepresented what he was saying.
First of all, it's possible he misunderstood the protocol/rules but it's also possible he was given bad information by whoever he got it from.
He didn't want to get the vaccine but got it because he was told his lockdown rules would be loosened if he did.
So not only is he upset about the lockdown in general, but I guess he feels almost tricked into getting the jab.
And he's going back and forth because he's emotional and angry regarding pretty serious issues (both the virus and mental health), if you've ever gone on a rant like that usually you don't stay 100% coherent unless you have a special gift of the gab.
I assume the "competitive edge" he is referring to comes from a vaccinated team being able to return back to normalcy somewhat whereas a unvaccinated team would have to remain locked down, and of course less chance of catching the virus and/or have it run through the locker room.
I don't know if I agree with him but I think he makes good points. Although I'm not privy to the details as to how much more locked down the players are compared to the average joe.
