In a perfect world you're right. I'm hoping this works with me. Making 1 large purchase next Friday then gonna bank the rest/pay off debt. Hope I don't feel spendy

Obviously things are different because you have wife and kids so definitely can see how you would spend more you make because of course you’d want things for your kids

Putting them in programs, sports etc.

Easier for me as a single dude to not spend more.

lol I'm in the same conundrum. I have all my material wants fulfilled and plenty of money set aside for trips I want to do. Just putting the money in stonks right now. It's good to have financial security.

Even people with kids can live a simpler life and get this, problem is that life here is a pissing contest.. if you buy the truck and trailer, take the family out in your deluxe glamping rig instead of the used subaru and a tent you end up like sub0 chasing the 100k lyfe till your old and worn out and can't enjoy whatever measly retirement you scramble together at the last minute

Kids get older and barely want to spend any time with you, but you spend their childhood working away, chasing that big pay cheque, all the while convincing yourself that next big purchase will make it all better

Many of us don't need a 100k wage to live a comfortable life, typically people chase wages because they have trouble curbing their spending, sub0 hasn't even got a pay cheque yet and he's already spent it

Other than buying new golf clubs my spending is the exact same yet I earn over 2x at my new job.

All about that minimalism

Stay in your lane dude.

I have no vehicle payments.

Budgeting a 1400$ smoker into a paycheck that is double what I usually earn is fine. Lmao

And im not chasing any 100k life. If I was I'd be up north doing it.
