Okay, don't watch/listen to the video. It's over an hour of nothing. Here are a few tidbits:

Burrows
- Perfectly fine with playing on a lower line so that Vrbata can take his spot with the Sedins
- Thinks a right-hand shot works better with the Sedins

Bieksa
- All the new players came to Vancouver early and are all great guys
- Thinks team chemistry and the locker room will be excellent this year

Higgins
- The new coaching staff is "a little more receptive to what we have to say"
- Desjardins's "relationships with the players will have a more positive spin"

Henrik, Daniel, Desjardins, Benning and all the scrub players didn't say anything new/interesting

The players are split into 3 teams at practice, but they've put certain lines together that give us a good idea of what we'll probably see on opening day (barring injuries).

Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata
Burrows - Bonino - Kassian
Higgins - Richardson - Hansen
Matthias - Horvat - Dorsett

I would put Matthias at 3C, move Richardson down to 4C and move Horvat to 4LW... but whatever :P

The top-6 was predictable but there are many combos for the bottom-6. My guess is that Vey beats out Horvat and Bo is sent back down to junior. Gaunce is the preseason dark-horse. It will also be interesting to see how Jensen does.

That was good. I'm excited to see who makes the cut this year. At least the prospects look good shinky and subban played well (from what I saw on my shitty connection :( )

Is the second game being broadcast?

- Subban and Vey looked very good, Shinkaruk had some nice plays in the offensive zone, as well.
- Horvat had a strong 3rd period. Very solid, safe center.
- Veterans didn't look like they cared all too much.
- Edler took a puck or stick to the face and left the game in the 1st period, no update.
