Oil is approaching its last gasp, rip. I don't know how many years it will be until its taken a real backseat to more renewable sources of energy, but soonish, definitely before "100 years". Also obviously that pipeline is not going to last even half of that.

I agree that the movement will happen and should happen, but i think it's would be foolish to think the need for oil will end anytime soon.
I dont know the math on capital cost and ROI on the investment and all that shit but i want canada to continue extracting and selling its oil.
I do think we have an obligation to limit damage to the communities affected and continue looking for way to extract more efficiently. but i still think we should be selling the resource.
