Mike Johnston has been named the Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins.



Penguins alumnus, Rick Tocchet, has been named the Assistant Coach of the Pens. Head Coach Mike Johnston will look to add one more assistant coach to his staff.

Good replacement for Niskanen Lost Orpik but I doubt that's too much of a blow, especially if you had to retain him at anywhere near what he was paid

At the price/term Orpik signed for I would consider it a win for them.

The guy is 33 and his body has been tolled to the point where he will start to fall apart within the next couple of years.

He has already slown down tremendously the last 2 years or so. He will decline fast.
