I assume because she knocked on my window. You don't necessarily open the window to a random stranger. You do if this a cop. When cops have asked me questions when I'm just walking around they never show their badge.

Instill a bit of fear and anxiety, gives them the power balance and gives them what they want to hear faster and with no problems.

RCMP in Quebec and Ontario are pretty hardcore. Essentially Canada's equivalent of the FBI. I remember a couple years ago I was waiting to pick up my cousin from university when this lady (and her partner a few meters behind her) in aviators and a $2000 women's suit walked up to my window, flashed her RCMP badge and asked where one of the buildings was.


Yeah, generally if you see RCMP in Ontario/Quebec, to my knowledge they work at Federal headquarters and are a specialized cop, not just a plain officer, but rather serve a more specific purpose
