as much as i hate our current goalie situation i kinda wanna hold off on bringing up hart
sounds like hes had his ups and down in the ahl a year down there will do him some good hes used to dominating in jrs its not the same


hextall is in a tough spot he doesnt want to give up anything big for a goalie because we likely got one or two coming in the near future with hart/sandstrom then we have too many goalies and lost depth on F/D
but in these years of half assed goalie our "core" is in their primes like fuck giroux+simmonds are 30 voraceks 29 we cant wait much longer

90-91? i wouldnt go that far.. czechmanek or whatever was pretty good for a couple seasons in between there

its almost like the leafs know how to score goals on the goalie they lost through waivers he couldnt make a fuckin save 3/4 goals five hole pfft
glad stolarz came in and made some saves before he got hurt and missed a season he was looking nhl ready if he can get there or is there again he might become our starter
i didnt see the game i pvrd it ill prob watch just to see how stolarz played tbh that would be like the only positive in a game like this

stolarz actually looked like he used to which is very good for us with our goalie situation being as it is
hes a 2nd rounder that put in the ahl time and was just breaking into the nhl then he got hurt and missed like 3/4 season came back and wasnt quite the same
but if hes back to form hes got a good shot at taking over as the starter and they might have to ride him with elliot+neuvy out 2+wk and pickard having bi polar performances


also how the leafs got away with that 8 man too many men is mind blowing i dont think there was a single penalty all game did the refs forget to show up lol

i feel like this is just the ceo that inherited the flyers and holmgren panicking move
hextall seemed like a really good gm he put in time as assistant gm in LAK came here made good moves and had to fix the shit show holmgren left him
he drafts good finally gets the team looking like homlgrens mess isnt going to shit on his roster and then he gets fired like whaat

- 10 are currently playing in the AHL.
- 23 are currently playing in the CHL, NCAA, or in Europe.
- 4 are no longer apart of the organization.

glad im not the only one to notice the impact of hextall to our prospect pool our drafting has gotten so much better
from the trade ups to get a guy like konecny ect ect those were the kind of moves that a good gm makes


i cant believe we fired him what the fuck is holmgren doing running the flyers with a ceo who prob doesnt know shit about hockey going to ruin this franchise because of loyalty to the wrong people
holmgren couldnt even gm properly the mess he made for hextall was bad the trades and everything he did as a gm was pretty much bad im so glad hes not stepping into that role as a temp

hell bryz is probably still our highest paid goalie from buying him out of that crazy ass contract homlgren gave him

watching the interview about the hextall firing its like what they praise him for where the team is right now saying how good the pool is good young players salary cap ect ect but they "need a new voice " as holmgren said
then scott the ceo pretty much said " i asked if the team could be in a better spot now not just down the line and we thought yes"


so sounds like the ceo is pushing holmgren to rush hextalls perfect plan and make dumb trades and shit to try and win now he prob said nah and they fired him for it
holmgren just said they feel the coaching staff has done good with what they have... lol?hakstols got a good team and cant do shit any good coach would have them playing better
