that's called walking the bag and that's even worse than backpacking

another topic: I ordered a package off Amazon and it showed up the day I left for out of province work. Repeatedly tried to contact the Purolator depot to hold the package for me until I get back this Saturday. Tons of calls later, zero pick ups. Tried contacting their online support as well, but then they tell me the package has been returned to sender. I was like why is it impossible to get in touch to hold this package for two weeks. The rep basically told me to go fuck myself and get my Amazon seller to reship it after it gets sent back, and if I have a problem with the pickup period, then don't use Purolator.

Was fucking livid. But then yesterday, somehow (they don't work sundays), I get a voicemail saying that the package is ready for pickup Monday, and if I don't pick it up by Tuesday, they're going to send it back Wednesday.

Called the depot a few more times and of course no one picks up the phone. Contact online support as well and they said they'll "request it" but won't guarantee anything.

Purolator is fucking garbage lol

I sometimes have to deal with these shipping companies at work. It's not just Purolator, they'll all idiots.

The customer service people are just completely untrained and/or do not give a fuck. When you call in, it's a crapshoot as to what kind of help and info you'll get.

I've learned it's better to hang up and call again hoping for a competent employee as soon as I realize the one I'm talking to isn't going to be helpful.

now that you've reminded me, I recently got a VERY good telus rep when I called to ask for my discounts back

they expired in mar and I had like 45 dollars worth of discounts

he ended up upgrading my internet from 300 mb to 1 gig, gave me another 12 bucks worth of discount on top of my original 45

pleasantly surprised, I got his name too so I know who to reach every time I call in lol
