Yeah I have a bunch too but they gave me a USB c cable and I don’t zero bricks for that

no, the old bricks are usb a input, so he'd basically have to buy a new brick, which completely defeats the purpose of not including the brick

My 12 work with my old iphone 7 chargers/bricks though..? And the charging cord it came with it is a USB input

Dirty had a 5 though so maybe those ones were different I can’t remember

i should've clarified, but i meant the input to most old bricks (the female port, is usb a), the cable they gave him is usb c to lightning port so he cant use his old bricks

also i meant they should've gotten rid of the lightning port and go usb c all around - my original statement sounded really stupid lol

Yeah you’re right, my old brick does work with my old cable, but they gave me a USB-C cord in the box which won’t work on my brick and unless you bought a phone within the last year it’s unlikely most people will have USB-C brick either. So essentially anyone who hasn’t bought a new phone within the last year is unlikely to have a USB c brick so they’ll need to go buy one anyway.

They also no longer include headphones , and they don’t have a headphone jack anymore.

So not only do I have a cable that doesn’t work. Meaning if I didn’t have an iPhone prior to this phone I literally wouldn’t have been able to use a product I just bought. But I now need to go buy a new adapter or new headphones.

I’d say a large % of people don’t have usbc. All in all this was a scummy business decision so they could make an extra $100 on average per new phone all in the guise of environment protection
