yeah for sure, hopefully we can land Byram this year, Turcotte would also be a welcome pick in my book, but if Byram is on the board and we DONT take him, i will be pissed.
Next year if we can land Lafreniere, Byfield, or Raymond would be amazing, if those guys are off the board, Drysdale looks like the top D projected to go around 7th-ish as of now, to pair with Byram (hopefully) would be killer.
If we can get two picks in the top 10 somehow next year would be amazing.

Lol more like if we do get Byram shit is rigged haha no way he goes past 6.

I'd be happy with Byram, Turcotte, Zegras or Cozens. I don't know much of 2020 draft besides hearing it's a very deep pool.

If only we had traded for picks in 2020 instead of 2019 xD

Yeah its supposed to be the deepest draft since 2015, possibly even deeper.

Teams know this and are probably reluctant to trade 2020 picks.
The few 2020 picks that have been traded are for players like Karlsson, Duchene, Zuccarello, and a couple others in the 2nd round, we got Washingtons, and i think Dzingel got ottawa a 2nd round in 2020.
If sharks make finals we get their 2nd in 2020 i believe

Lafreneierier i hear is clear cut #1, assuming we got Wsh from green trade?

Steve may work some magic anyways

Agreed, i think Bowey is a real nice prospect for us, hes still developing.
Didn't pan out in Washington but he gets a fresh start here, and was real solid since coming over.
And we get that 2nd round pick on top of it. That trade has the potential to be a serious home run.
Imagine if washington shits the bed and that 2nd rounder is in the top half of the round next year, theres a real possibility we could get a really good player.

That would be nice. When we lost datsyuk, that was a painful loss we never fully recovered from.

Yup the way i see it also, Ovie's gotta slow down sometime soon right?
Holtby has been streaky too, anything can happen.
Wings are definitely headed in a good direction can't wait for the next few years to unfold

Datsyuk could come back, personally imo a player development roll would be the ideal position for him within the organization, but if he still wants to play i would be okay with it as long as we give him year by year contracts.
Think about Datsyuk helping the development of Larks, AA, Zadina, Veleno... if he could teach these kids they all could turn into superstars the way he was.

yeah it really can, outplayed by a wild card team, and bounced 1st round... maybe they dont even make the playoffs next year, never know.
we are in a time of crazy parity, its become really hard to predict anything in this league lately.
