He's 22yrs old, and he has been living with my wife's family rent free for while now. Anyways, my wife has a sis and bro, and they told the cousin to stop going out every fucking night cuz of covid.
He would make excuses, or sneak out when they're asleep so that he could hang out with his friends. One day he got sick, but he didn't bother to tell anybody. My wife only found out cuz the idiot posted a pic of congee and broadcasted being sick on his instagram with some emote.
When confronted about it, he lied saying he wasn't sick and it's nothing serious. Except they realized that he has been awfully quiet and was mostly shut in his room most of the week, but they assumed he wasn't home as usual cuz they didnt know that he was sick. They told him to go get tested and stop going out so often, but he never did.

My wife basically called him everyday to see if he got tested yet, he eventually got mad at her cuz he felt like he's being harassed and she's not minding her own business. She fucking lost it on him saying then GTFO of her family's house and go live with his parents then she could care less.
The funniest lie was when he told my wife that he got tested by calling 811 and they told him that he's negative
My wife at that point just told him to pack his shit and gtfo cuz he clearly doesn't give a fuck. So he moved out to his gf's house.
My wife called his workplace to see if his boss knew he was sick and is still going to work, at first she said no, then later said that oh he told me he got sick cuz he was helping a friend move in the rain. Long story short, the boss didn't give a fuck.
My mother in law called my wife saying she needs to leave him alone and stop harassing him, and she was like WTF im worried about you and my family, why are you taking that idiots side etc.etc.
My wife's bro is 19 and he used to hang out with his cousin's friends before covid. So he got a text from one of his cousin's friend asking if he's doing okay and how everyone else in the family is doing and if they got tested yet. Bro in law was like huh? what do you mean?
The friend explained that he shared food with their cousin when they were chilling, but when he felt sick the next day, he went to go get tested, and his result came back positive. So he told his friend (cousin) to get tested, and assumed that the cousin did and would've informed the family (this was when he was shut in his room most of the week, and didn't tell anyone in the family that he was sick and it's high chance of covid).]
At this point, my bro in law was like WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF cuz he thought his sisters were kinda over reacting to this whole thing about his cousin getting tested and shit, but the fact that the cousin knew his friend tested positive, shared food and even told him to get tested, and he still didnt bother to mention any of this to them.
So at this point, bro in law and sis in law were like WTF panic mode and got tested (came back negative, but they quarantined anyway and re-tested a week later just in case it's false positive) and they told my wife what happened and she was in disbelief.
My wife called him and grilled his ass for being fucking careless and inconsiderate, basically told him he's dead to her. He said he finally got tested and has covid, (surprise!) Wife asked what made him finally fucking do it, he said his gf got sick after he moved in with her and she tested positive.
The idiot was trying to make it seem like his GF gave him covid, not the other way around. They're not together anymore. Best bf 2021.
My wife called his boss again, and informed them that they should get tested because his cousin tested positive. The boss was already taking some time off at this point cuz she felt sick and she eventually tested positive for covid. Shut her business down.
While the bro/sis were quarantined, their parents went over to stay at the parents of cousins place. The fucking cousin decides to visit his parents WHEN HE FUCKING TESTED positive instead of being quarantined. His logic is that he was sick way before hand and it's been 3 weeks so it didn't matter
So his parents and my wife's parents eventually all got covid, it was really bad because none of them could move at all, to the point they couldn't drive, go to work even if they wanted to, had fever, lost sense of smell, and stayed in bed for almost 4 days or some shit. My father in law lost so much weight, he's a fucking stick now.
My wife was crying on the phone cuz she couldn't do anything for them, like take them to the hospital, bring food over, and her mom was trying to pretend that they're ok. Wife told them to call 911 cuz uncle is immunocompromised and if they're having a hard time breathing it's a fucking emergency, but their english isn't good so they didnt wanna WTF? they also didnt wanna tell my wife where they lived so she couldn't call for them.
Thankfully, they're fine now, including the uncle. So the cousin showed proof he's negative, and went to go pick up rest of his shit outta their house with his mom cuz he's scared shitless. He tried to sneak in when they weren't home but i changed the locks for them so he couldn't get in without them knowing. So he picked the time when my wife is at work ofc, and went to get his shit while just my sis in law is home. She asked if he had anything to say to her, he said nope. Shes like are u fucking serious, not even a half assed apology? you got both our parents covid, potentially us, and infected pretty much everyone. He's like how do you know that i spread it to them? they could've got it when they went out to get groceries or at work, don't blame me. She mentioned about his friends text and he freaked out cuz he didnt know they had this info on him, he's like well u have no proof i did it, and the aunt was basically backing his son up. When my sis in law told my wife and her parents, they now cut ties with them. It's super fucked up.
