months of upstairs neighbor fucking waking me up at random parts of the night, and then making it impossible to sleep past 7 AM EVERY FUCKING DAY. lack of sleep really added up over the past few weeks. worse than I went through in college and I'm too old to deal with it.

been as polite as possible, logged every fucking disturbance last month, repeated complaints via strata over and over. didn't matter, strata says they've been sending letters but that was in November. it's March. guy's wiped hiss ass with them. fucking do something?

so I approach the council president. says it's up to the property managers because We DoNt WaNt CoNfLiCtS BeTwEeN ReSiDeNts. too fucking bad because I've been in conflict in months.

so I say fuck it and go upstairs to confront the guy directly. well, except his floor is FUCKING ALARMED IF YOU ENTER FROM THE STAIRS. what the fuck? some shit about crossover floors. and I can't get into his floor myself since the fob only lets you into the floor you actually live in. so I literally can't walk up to his unit without causing a ruckus, like when I have to explain I'm doing it because of noise everyone else is going to be like "well we only see you causing trouble". so no, I can't just walk up to him.

I'm already moving out because this is beyond fucking retarded but I need to hold up until the end of the month because I have tons of shit to complete before end of FY and a professional exam too. very hard to do with no sleep, ya know. since diplomacy has failed I figured the only way is to go full Jackass and make sure to be a fucking pain until he gets a clue.

what should I do, boys? preferably something that won't cost me my damage deposit.

I think you have a strong case that as a result of a continuous disturbance you lost the ability to reside in a peaceful dwelling. That is loss of use.

You tried to rectify the situation numerous times and have been brushed off. I don't know the details of the RTA but am almost certain you have rights to reside in a peaceful dwelling, which was breached due to the negligence and inaction of the landlord and his designates.

You have been put in a position where you have been forced out due to the circumstance. I think you should get at least a free months rent so you can secure a new rental. Or just move back with your folks like you discussed earlier.
