It will be a good wake up call that we need more renewable energy sources if anything, there are some major projects in the works in QC which is nice

No. You gotta dig a little deeper. Line 5 supplies Quebec with 40-50% of its energy.
And propane? Goodbye.

So i dug into ti a little more, it supplies roughly 45% of crude oil to quebec, ontario, michigan, ohio and pennyslvania

55% of michigan's propane needs, who is also the state that uses the most propane

and 100% of toronto airport's jet fuel

amongst a lot of other things so think about it, who's going to get impacted?

I don't follow Quebec energy source at all, but after the train explosion/fire in 2013, it makes sense they're trying to get away from it

Just wait till you see the amount of trains loaded with crude needed to offset this closure. Pipelines are much much much safer. Almost like Canada needs an energy corridor east to west now

The largest refinery in Canada and one of the largest in North America is in New Brunswick and there is no pipeline near it.
