Cash fors rule but you probably know your friend well enough to get a gift.

I'd say the rule of thumb is at the very least cover the cost of all the things supplied to you at the wedding and then add $50 to it. So pay for your dinner and provide a gift in the value of your gift.

Was hoping for 500 but 300 would be fine. Just wanna get rid of it before I buy a laptop
