On a serious note, that's a bad idea. How do you determine this? Social status? Financial status? DNA testing for "deffefincies"? Iq level?

A combination of things: intelligence tests, personality tests, psychological tests, evaluation of the family's financial situation and how having a child will affect it, etc.

I understand it's a whole can of worms but I was just saying, in a fantasy/ideal world.

It's not about creating a superhuman or pure race, it's simply about saving kids from horrible childhoods.

too much variants to that, for sure if gov didn't allow 2 jobless fuckers on foodstamps to have kids it'll save the kid from having a rough time growing up, but at the same time even the smartest couple with money can fuck up their kids just as bad imo

Furthermore parents can have a strong framework in place but all it takes is a death in the family for things to fall apart. That is beyond anyone's control. People get sick and die all the time at an earlier than expected age.


For myself I may never have children because I do want that strong framework in place beforehand. I am not just going to fool around, get a random girl pregnant then just wing it hoping for the best.

Funny thing is that scenario unfolds all the time. Does not mean that it is always going to be an unmitigated disaster. There is just too many variables as you said.

Our very existence is toxic from the beginning. Look at the damage we have done in an extremely short time period.

The earth is ~ 4.5 billion years old. We did not start significantly polluting until around the late 1700's. I cant imagine how much more damage we will do in the next 100 years.

The earth does not stand a chance imo.
