I've been to diaper parties, a few of them actually (reverse of a baby shower). Not necessarily a gender reveal. Wife had a baby shower for the firstborn.. she wasn't interested in planning one for the second. More work than what it's worth.

yeah that's the main thing. one good thing about the pandemic tho is that people are way more forthcoming about calling/messaging so maybe in the future having kids isn't as much of an excuse to never see friends again LOL
