For some reason I had my doubts about coffee because of all the media bullshit so I stayed away, but moderate consumption is great. Improves performance all around, and improves post workout recovery with consumption of CHO.

Definite moderate consumption. I used to drink a ton of coffee, haven't drank it almost at all in the last 2-3 yeas and I've felt much better. Much more awake, much more active.

Like 8oz. Basically one good sized cup before a workout or something

The problem is when you become dependant on it .

Just don't get dependant on it. A cup before a workout or some type of hard work . Avoid being like my mom who has 3-4 cups a day.
