Why not have someone do all the work for you?

Same reason people get someone to do their taxes, invest their money, fix their car, clean their house, raise their kids etc. It's easier to get someone else to do it for you. You're paying a premium that you probably didn't have to pay to get a good deal, but people do it anyway to save time.

If there were only 4 of us it would have been a breeze. But coordinating money, bookings, etc for 8 guys is a bit hectic. I would rather just point them to the person to contact when they have the money ready

Not booking shit for these guys then they fuck up a room or something happens I'm on the hook.

We would need at least 2 rooms, so I guess I could book my own without an agent and then have them book on their own at the same hotel
