Title sequence to House of Cards makes me really want to go to DC.

Most stuff on the strip is good. Some are more expensive then others. A bachelor's party trip probably doesn't care about whether being in a luxury hotel or not, I'd make a list of 7-8 places you'd like with strong reviews then pick the cheapest. You'll have more money to spend that way. Couldn't recommend anything specifically, different casino's and hotels appeal to different people. Only thing I'd recommend is go for the cheapest place you can find that still reviews very strongly. You're not a highroler, a celebrity, or even on your honeymoon. You want to maximize the amount of cash you have to spend in Vegas, because fun is Vegas requires money. The more you have to spend (within a set and defined budget), the better.

Yeah I figured there wouldn't be much time spent in the hotel anyway, just need a bed basically. So anywhere on the strip and cheap. If i can get 1-2 to split with me maybe 4 people in a suite (no homo) would be alright

And I'm going to be bringing too much money if anything, I have to avoid being an idiot lol

Yeah exactly. There is places you shouldn't stay on the strip, but it's not hard to fine ones that are good. And Vegas hotels in general are pretty cheap, as they expect you to spend lots of money there. A good travel agent can find you a good deal. Six months from now is August, which I believe would be slow time for Vegas as it's the summer and it's excruciatingly hot.

Make sure you have a set budget of how much you want to spend before you go. Don't bring too much money because you'll spend it all. It's easier to get going in the casino, a strip club or even a shooting range and blow all your money. Set how much money you want to spend per day and don't go over it. Having money left over at the end of the day is a good thing. Super easy to have lots of fun without blowing your budget. And blowing your budget isn't fun at all.

Band of Brothers has to be counted as a mini-series.

the most satifsying part about going to vegas was running into a restaurant, grabbing a beer, and walking around outside drinking it

something so simple was so fucking amazing

yep walking down the strip passing a bottle of crown around was fucking stupid, but fun

heres a great hung over breakfast place

http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/vegas/

and heres another place you gotta go to for dinner/lunch

if youre going to a strip club, go to Spearmint Rhino

and if you go, call them and request a ride from your hotel, they will pick you up in a limo and you go in the back door and dont pay a cover charge.

Rehab, the party on Sunday morning at the Hard Rock

awesome...

i havn't been to vegas but i have always heard that the casino's give crazy hotel packages and you can book flight packages that include casino stay. the idea being get you in cheap so you can get hooked on tables with the cash you freed up and spend even more.

might be worth calling the casino if you have a big party. even if you get a agent do a little investigation yourself to see how hard they actually worked for that deal

It will actually be October, just remembered they set their date so I'm planning the bachelor party accordingly, so 8 months.

Anyways yes, going to use a travel agent as a middleman, my friends can work it out upon themselves to get their flight booked which is easy enough for them and takes the burden away from me

8 months in advance is plenty of time, I could probably get money from some of them if I give them a few weeks

Ah nevertheless like Nearin said they're always offering deals no matter the month. October is a popular time but you can definitely still get a great price.
