Why not just have transparency and do the draft order live imo, rigged highly possible

This is just a guess but maybe because it's three separate lotteries based on the first lottery, so the setup takes time and involves the removal and reloading of the right number lotto balls based on the previous pull.

I'm guessing that they'd rather pump up the playoffs and pump up prospects and stuff rather than air this process.

But like I said, I'm certain that the teams ownership groups are all over the tampering side of it and keep it in check.

Theres a video floating around that was posted by the NHL a few days ago showing the drawing last year, they did the whole drawing in 15 mins i think

Honestly it doesn't even have to be live, just show video evidence the process of how teams are selected without tampering. I'd say the draft is likely drawn by computer rather than a physical process. Anything done behind closed doors or in private screams secrecy to me.

Some balls were weighted or the lid was magnetic.. kidding of course but who's to say this isn't the case

Anyone know how the numbers sequences of the balls drawn relates to each team and their respective chance?

I just want to see the sheet with each teams numbers during or BEFORE the drawing, and then i also want to see the paper bettman is reading from, when recapping at the end he didnt break concentration from reading that page for even a split second, and idk about you, but anytime ive ever read, or seen anybody read something that has a fill in the blank, theres a slight pause while your brain determines what to say. His script most certainly wouldve needed to contain blanks for the team names unless it was predetermined. And this then circles back to showing us each teams numbers before drawing.

Im not saying its rigged, i never thought it was in the first place, though it is fishy. im just saying there are still some factors that arent being shown, like if they took the time and effort to film it, why wasnt it live? And until theres 100% transparency i wont fully 100% believe any lottery results like this. Its just too big of a coincidence to me that each team that won has some sort of connection or widespread admiration from the NHL Executives and media.

Oh and that #2 ball ought to be looked at. 14 balls or whatever and 3 drawings and the #2 ball comes up each of the three times? You dont need to tamper with any of the others, just that one and ensure that each of the 3 teams you want selected are the only teams with a 2 in their number sequence.

Yeah i feel the same way, it also seemed like they didn't rehearse either. For a multi million dollar corporation they could have certainly done some things different.
The camera show around the room tells us nothing but faces, why not introduce who they are or at least wave or smile at the camera ffs, the awkward silence was painful.
Betman asking the cameraman if he got the shot was unprofessional, why not give a simple thumbs up behind the camera when he got the shot or something and again with the up and down motion when inserting the lottery balls was ugly

that number 2 ball is the "lottery" ball for the teams to win the top 3 pick. For example, if Detroit or Vancouver had that #2 ball in their combination, it would've been them in the top 3 pick. Also, to show every number combination of each team combinations would be too long of a list in tiny paper.
they did the draws and everything before the show went live at 5pm pst, so it was predetermined by like half hour early. Someone that watched it through swedish stream noticed NHL accidentally leaked the top 3 picks, 26minutes too early but no one caught it lol.
