Excuse me while i go burn shit down.

This lottery feels especially rigged with the NHL's headquarters in NY (pick 2nd), television studios in NJ (pick 1st) and the NHL neverending love and bias for the Chicago (pick 3rd).

Feels extra fishy this year for real.

Not when we started at 4th. And had that win streak at the end of the year, if we would have simply lost two of those meaningless fucking games, we wouldve been 3rd and not NJ who won 1st. So two meaningless wins were the difference between 1st and 6th... Good fucking job boys

I think u guys still have a chance to draft him, especially if 5th team picking isn't sold on defense

I dont think we have a chance, honestly i think podkolzin drops, he's a risky pick, he's in the KHL for the next two years minimum, and thats a sketchy situation, with him being Russian and already playing in the KHL, its totally unpredictable, he might not even leave, or pull a Kovalchuk. I bet he falls, byram rises to 3rd, 4th, 5th. And we'll be dumb enough to pick him.

i dont see that being risky at all, especially for a kid that is known to have crazy work ethic and skill. Many players that exceed and go beyond their training normally dream of playing in the NHL rather than staying in their local leagues. He's only 17, so he'd be 19 if he wants to play in NHL which is still pretty young. I don't think he would want to ditch his home and go to NA juniors to develop there though. You can make the same argument with Hughes, he can decide to go to college for 3yrs and sign with another team lol. Anyway, i hope the first 9 teams feel that he's too risky and allow him to drop to 10th :) i
pick 4 - 10 is pretty much anyone's guess and what the team needs most, i feel like they're all about similar tier level below kakko and hughes. Cozens, Zegras, Turcotte, Dach, Boldy, Krebs,Suzuki, Knight, Kaliyev, Caufield Newhook list goes on, Byram is the best D in this draft among defensemen but idk if Chicago, Avs, Kings want D as much as forwards

if it feels any better, here's button's mock https://www.instagram.com/p/BwDssORhY7F/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Thats a fair assessment, but russians are crazy unpredictable sometimes... Its all doom and gloom right now, but im sure everything will work out in the end, im just sick of getting shafted by the long dick of the NHL.
Ididnt care so much to move up as i just didnt want to move down.

And i bring this up EVERY year: SHOW THE FUCKING DRAWING ON TV.
I hate that its all done behind closed doors and only the results are shown.
There should be no problem being completely transparent and show the whole drawing. Literally, if nothing shady is going on, then theres no reason to keep it from the fans. We even know HOW its done, so what is the point of keeping it hidden?
And with purchasing an hour time slot, they have plenty of time to show the drawing, instead they waste 30 mins doing a playoff preview nobody cares about, and then 30 mins for the results.
I didnt tune in to the draft lottery to watch a playoff preview for 30 mins.
And i would be surprised if you could find more than a handful of people who are into hockey enough to care about the lottery who also need information about the playoffs.

I don't have an issue with no seeing it as far as tampering goes.

One of those super rich owners would probably love to file a lawsuit against the NHL for dicking around with the balls. So I'm sure that's not happening - as the teams will keep that in check.

But I would like to see it just as something to see. It would make everyone feel better etc.
