speaking of Covid, my grandma got it :/

was fine at her home with oxygen, then levels suddenly dropped and had to be rushed to the hospital - she didn't want to go at first because she was scared of dying alone.

spoke with her on the phone and she seemed fine, struggling to walk but otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell she was sick.

hoping for the best...

That is terrible. Hoping for a quick recovery.

My Grandma is my primary motivation for behaving myself and taking the necessary precautions.

It angers me that some do not take this seriously. Sorry to hear your Grandma has caught it.

Line 5 to be shutdown in April/may

Rip canadian jobs.

Could you go into greater detail about this?

Is this why there has been a recent spike is gas prices or is this shutdown part of a maintenance plan?

Line 5 goes from sarnia, down through Michigan and a few other states. Also supplies oil/gas to Quebec and Ontario. All alberta oil fed. Its been in operation for 68 years.

Line 5 pipeline shutdown will happen in May as ordered by Michigan's governor

And their Attorney General Dana Nessel just did a magnificent slam back at Canadians. She rightly asks "if most of the Canadian oil flowing under the Straits then goes back to Canada, why don't they just build a new pipeline to deliver it within Canada?"

What a great question, over to you Justin Trudeau, Ontario & Quebec. Why did all of you oppose Energy East? Were you all happy with American supplied vital fuels and Lac Megantic style rail deliveries? Because that's what you're about to get until a new Canadian pipeline east is built!

And btw, forget about seeing low cost oil & gasoline to fuel a pandemic recovery. Uncle Joe down in the USA has begun attacking all fossil fuels and the impact of his Executive Orders has sent prices skywards. Gasoline prices have returned to highs not seen since Obama's days.
Not to mention Biden starting the war machine back up again.

Most people don't understand that the ineptitude of leaders like Trudeau & Biden will result in other Nations exerting their power to jack up prices as much as possible.

In this case, oil pricing is being raised across the globe. It's interesting that Saudi Arabia holds the price for Asian markets, creeps it up for the USA and slams the EU with a big price jump. I predict that when Biden remains asleep at the wheel, they'll start slamming the USA with BIG price jumps.

This is bad news for Europe, USA and Eastern Canada. But it's bloody marvelous for Alberta! And honestly, it's about time that we had a return to the true value of our Oil & Gas resources. I for one won't be complaining at the gas pumps other than remaining upset at the federal taxes, especially the damn Trudeau "carbon tax"

But at the end of the day. We DO need more pipelines to take advantage of this.

Thanks for the back story....

Of course it comes back to political posturing.

With this and the Keystone pipeline it seems someone is trying to shore up a monopoly and keep everyone else out. There is a good documentary called 'Over a Barrell' if you have not seen it.

I don't want to be paying $1.60 a litre for gas again. The carbox tax is just a punitive attack on those who can't afford to live closer to where they work.

Using the environment as a guise to steal more money from the working class is a joke. Seems they just want us all to break and beg at their feet. I am willing to work to earn my keep but it is becoming increasingly difficult.

/e Biden also recently announced he wants to convert the Federal fleet to all Electric. It just smells of some shady backroom deal using the environment as an excuse to further increase debt and tax the shit out of the people even more.

Fuck just saw the video of the incident where this fucker killed his neighbours over a snow shoveling dispute. What the fuck are wrong with these people?

Basically this dude and the wife called him a pussy and shit, argued about something prior.

The guy goes in his house, brings out his handgun shoots multiple times as a warning shit til the last couple bullets shooting the dude. Then he yells in pain and runs back to his doorway, telling ppl to call the cops. Leaving the wife in middle of the street, she gets shot too. Thought she got rekt when he shot her in the head. She was crying in pain and shit. Then the dude goes back into his house to bring out his AR and finishes them off, saying u shda stfu bitch. Then goes to the guy and said I'm a pussy huh?
He ended his own life after, probably realizing he just murdered 2 ppl over pity shit and might as well die than go to jail.

asks the guy he's about to murder over a shoveling dispute if he's a pussy, then takes his own life

looks like victim was right

Literally a month before Biden announced that federal EV deal, Nancy Pelosis husband bought $1M in tesla stock
Go look at who owns these rail and trucking companies which benefit bigly from pipelines being shutdown.

Buffet and his company Berkshire/Hathaway own BNSF.

Bill Gates has ~ 2 billion invested in CN rail.

Those investing in Rail, Ev and transportation stand to benefit from pipelines being shut down or cancelled.

Many 'green' initiatives are being rolled out with a popular following. The best way for B.C to meet its 2040 goal of selling only EV is to make it too expensive for any other energy source to compete.

If the carbon tax keeps escalating and price of gas keeps increasing we will all be behind the wheel of an EV whether we like it or not. By no means is it a choice at this point in my opinion.

Honestly I understand we need to reduce dependence on fossil fuels but this fact is being exploited for financial gain at our expense.

With so much money on the line it is a conflict of interest one way or the other.

We are just peons in all of this trying to make a living. Awful being treated as pawns day in day out.
