Gotta eat healthy, 5 smaller meals per day(intead of 3 big), more calories than you burn

Best way.

That's my main problem. When I'm with fiance, food is np. Since I'm gone, it's fast food, or no food, or just like ez-mac/ramen etc.

You know you will burn more calories if you lift some weights and put on some muscle first/during right? Often that means your weight will stay the same, but your bmi will improve. I'd rather see my body image change more than the scale. Losing pounds doesn't mean a whole lot if you're not gaining muscle at the same time.

I do a bit of weight lifting, too.

I disagree with you, however. There's a point where you are simply too overweight and need to drop pounds just to be healthier. I consider my current weight unacceptable and need to lose at least another 25-30 pounds.

Keep it up man.

This is starting to pay off for me as well. Recently I dropped under 200 pounds, somewhere I have not been in years. I am 5'9 / 5'10 with a heavyish frame so I still have ~ 15 pounds to go. Then I will start focusing on muscle gain more. I go to the gym 2 days a week to lift, but it is not really my thing. I want to have practical fitness.

What is the point if I can bench xxx amount of weight if I can not run around the block or work a physical job without getting gassed. Have to have some balance, your probably a strong guy but need better cardio and want to keep losing weight. That is the boat I am in atm.

Loaded with sugar. Not necessary at all , getting your calories from calorie dense liquids is a bad idea.

Funny you mention this. This certainly rang true for me.

I got semi addicted to flavoured milk drinks. Like chocolate milk but even worse, brands like Caramilk, Crispy crunch and those type of sugary milk drinks.

I think that played a big role in my weight. and now that you mention it I can pretty much believe that is is true now. Cut those out completely and started getting more excercize and it is starting to pay off now.

I agree.

I have a ton of stamina which I think is more useful than pure strength at a point. Couple buddies and I hiked about 15+ miles through the desert about a month ago and it was relatively easy for me. I think exercise like that is pretty beneficial as far as weight loss is concerned, as well.

My goal is around 190-200 pounds, myself, although I wanna shoot for 185 to say I lost 100 pounds lol.

Meal timing , and the size/amount of meals you eat in a day is completely irrelevant.

Would be pretty boss. If you are able to go on long hikes now, you will be absolutely beasting it when you drop more weight. I have always liked hiking/ long walks. I like to take in the scenery.
