not technically late but he never intended to play the puck. it's textbook charging and a headshot.

you can actually see here scheifele could have prevented the goal with his stick if he wasnt headhunting. it's pretty damning and he's going to get a hefty suspension because of it

If this falls under the new "principle point of contact" rule then fine, but other than that I think it's clean. No charge, not late.

No they aren’t. The puck was going in regardless of if he was looking up or not. Shief wouldn’t of stopped him and he made contact to the head.

I don't see why it matters if the puck was going in or not, as long as it wasn't late, which it wasn't IMO.

Does it make him a piece of shit for concussing a player on a nothing play? Yes.

Does that make it illegal? I don't think so (again, barring the principle point thing)
