False, he can be highly (over)valued and not be good at hockey at the same time. So you got him for what he’s actually worth probably, when we should have gotten more. Especially trading in the division when supposedly 5 other teams were interested. Bleh

I guess you can hope for surplus value on every trade but that's not realistic, especially for a player who publicly asked for a trade and therefore sabotaged his value.

Probably could have got more but weren't willing to retain for some reason, which is the main thing I'd be upset with as a Flames fan (although perhaps they want to save those retention slots for future trades).

Retain when sending Lindholm to a contender, or use cap space to be the third team at a deadline deal or something. I dunno, meh.

I will have to watch that interview. I had no idea he was outspoken politically. Most are just quiet regardless of their stances on current issues because they don't want to rock the boat.

hmm ahl for ahl but sending a pick... wow. Alvin making like 90% of the trades in the NHL the past year lol. Good trade for both sides i guess, studnicka doesnt fit the canucks anymore with Lafferty, Suter, Aman, Blueger etc. all ahead of him. He should make the sharks line up and the Canucks get some more depth.
