If he had specifically tried to take maatta out, yes, I'd agree. It was a bad hit in the heat of the moment, and that heat was caused by the matchup.
Take him out for the rest of the matchup if anything.. would you be singing the same tune if Letang laid a dirty hit on Orlov and he was out for the next 200 days?

I was actually thinking maatta will be back in a couple games--only missing one or two haha

:P I still disagree though. Suspend for the action, not for the result. If he had tried to kill Maatta and failed, you'd want him to get more than a game or two ;)

Clearly you don't understand jack shit about how they value playoff games over regular season games in terms of suspensions. Has nothing to do with whether the act was performed in a playoff vs regular game, has everything to do with the games the player will miss. Schenn was already out of the playoffs when they handed down his sentence.

Regardless if you want to make it out to that Orpik's hit was way worse and resulted in injury. Therefore his 3 games playoff wise would be more in your eyes. Personally he should be out at least the rest of the series, and he should be fined for his stupid comment made to his coach.

they're very consistent when it comes to playoffs
