Krug blocks the bigger deal between PHI and STL.

Ends up being just Hayes @ 50% for a 6th.

Newhook to Habs for picks 31, 37 and prospect Fairbrother (3rd rounder type value)

Newhook had a lot of hype as a prospect but hasn't been able to break out yet. I guess the Habs believe in that potential.

I don't follow the Avs closely but apparently they wanted Newhook to be their 2nd line center and he could not take that role on.

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Pierre-Luc Dubois from the Winnipeg Jets via sign and trade. The eight year deal carries a $8.5 AAV, per @reporterchris
