Yeah it's clear Arizona is trying to keep the money as low as possible. Sounds like what made the Kings deal fall through was that there was miscommunication on how much salary the Kings were sending back.
This is why open cap space is such an underrated asset. You can get good players on the cheap from strapped teams.
