It puts the people who got invited to both in a bad position. Naturally you should go to the event you committed to first but idk what others would do.

Well how close "friends" are they? if close, then your sister should have thought about her bday coming up at the same time as her and done something together. If not close friends, then who cares, she doesn't need to skip her bday. Sucks for friends who have to choose between two parties/friends. Tell your sister to tell her friend to make one party lol it's not really hard

birthdays are silly same as any other weekend to me, My b-day is November a few days after Halloween so i usually just got have my Halloween weekend then on my b-day we go out and the boys buy me some chicken wings.

Get a few phone calls and maybe a present or two.

my bday is in july when a lot of poeple are on vacation. have some friends over, pool, bbq, beers etc. always a good time

Lol my considers her one of her best friends . My sister asked when she made her event a month ago if she wanted her to do another date or a joint one and the friend said no I'll do it another time , then a week before the party she drops this on her lol.

I mean idk how girls really think . If it was my buddies we would just all party together

Regardless your sister needs to just not over think about it, the people who want to be their will come, and if they dont want to be their enough to come, you dont particularly want them their anyhow.
